Terms and Conditions
The CB LANGUAGE ACADEMY will provide language tutorial services to students who have enrolled in our courses for a length of duration depending on the chosen course/language.
This Student Contract is a legal agreement between CBLA and the student. The Contract governs the student's attendance, behavior, and academic performance at the school. Any amendments to this contract must be agreed to by both the student and the school Administration. By enrolling in a chosen course, the student agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this contract.
1. Application
a. The student is legally obligated to pay the Enrolment fees and all Additional Charges, even if the student subsequently withdraws, absents, or is dismissed from the course.
b. CBLA reserves the right to reject or withdraw the admission of any student. All decisions about the acceptance of students are final. Payment of any amount to CBLA on behalf of a student does not obligate CBLA to admit the said student.
2. Financial Information
a. All Enrollment Fees must be paid in full before reserving a student slot. For some classes, installments are permitted at the discretion of the school. Access to Classes will be granted under the rules outlined.
Full payment: The access shall be granted in full until the completion of the last day of class.
Installment: For non-expiry access to the online class, the student must comply with the schedule of payment.
b. Payment of Student fees to CB LANGUAGE ACADEMY is not transferable without the prior written consent of CB LANGUAGE ACADEMY. Under certain circumstances and special cases, Management reserves the right to exercise discretion.
c. If the Student fails to attend or contact the course instructor, all rights to the course shall be considered forfeited.
d. CB Language Academy has strictly no refund policy. Under certain circumstances and special cases, Management reserves the right to exercise discretion.
3. Attendance & Certification
a. If a student is absent from a class session, no makeup class shall be provided.
b. If a student arrives late to a tutorial, the original schedule for the class session shall be maintained and logged.
c. Unless otherwise approved and valid, no Certificate of Completion shall be granted to any Student who has accrued absences of more than 20% of the total class time.
Selection of Tutor
a. CBLA reserves the right to assign a substitute to any class whose instructor is absent.
b. No student or former student of CBLA is allowed to hire directly or indirectly the services of any CBLA instructor outside the provisions of this contract.
Changes and Disclaimer
a. The CBLA is committed to ensuring the satisfaction of its students. If there are any complaints, questions, or suggestions, they should be addressed to the CBLA management promptly.
b. Any request for change of class schedule or for transfer to another class by a student shall be at the sole discretion of CBLA for approval.
c. If the minimum number of students enrolled in a class falls short of expectations, CBLA reserves the right to adjust the class schedule accordingly. Students should be aware that their class schedules could be subject to change due to potential modifications that may need to occur. As such, the schedules are considered to be tentative and subject to change.
d. The CBLA reserves the right to suspend or terminate the enrollment of any student at any time. A student may face suspension or dismissal if they fail to adhere to any of the school's rules and regulations or if they display violent, threatening, or offensive behavior or language (including verbal, written, or electronic forms) towards other students or staff.
e. The CBLA is committed to ensuring the satisfaction of its students. If there are any complaints, questions, or suggestions, they should be addressed to the CBLA management promptly.
f. This contract binds the parties to maintain confidentiality and not disclose any information concerning CBLA's Clients. The Student agrees not to share any information regarding the terms of this contract with anyone, including CBLA Professors/Tutors. Likewise, CBLA Professors/Tutors are prohibited from disclosing any information regarding CBLA's Clients during or after the conclusion of this contract. Breach of this agreement may result in legal action being taken against the responsible party.
g. The CBLA shall not be held liable for any delays or failures in the performance of their obligations, which are the result of any act, event, omission, or accident beyond their reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, strikes, lock-outs, labor disputes, acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm, pandemics, epidemics, other outbreaks of disease or infection, and failure in the public supply of electricity, heating, lighting, air conditioning or telecommunications equipment.
h. This legally binding contract is final and cannot be reversed. Both parties to this contract acknowledge that it has been entered into of their own free will. The client acknowledges that they have read and understood the terms of this agreement and agree to be bound by them. The laws of the Philippines shall apply to any disputes arising from this contract.
